OOey Gooey Buterfinger Brownies

OOEY GOOEY BUTTERFINGER BROWNIES

Esther found this recipe on Facebook.  It has so many calories, we didn't even try to count them, so make them when there are so many people around you only have a chance for one.  Do not bring them home if there are left as they are irresistible.  When we first made them, we took two over to JJ and the rest to our house.  They were gone within a day or two.  WARNING - If you are battling cholesterol, suffer from diabetes, or are trying to lose weight, these are NOT the brownies for you.

1 pkg Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie Mix plus ingredients called for on the box
7 oz container of Marshmallow Cream
1 1/2 tbsp butter
3 cups Mini Marshmallows
2 1/2 cups Rice Krispies
1 1/4 cups (about 10 fun size bars) Chopped Butterfingers
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 tbsp shortening

Bake Brownies per box instructions only grease the pan well.  When you pull out of the oven, immediately blop the marshmallow cream on top of the hot brownies.  The marshmallow cream will spread out on its own and you can then spread it out evenly before adding the rice krispie layer. While brownies are cooling, chop the butterfingers.  Next make the butterfinger rice krispie treats.  Microwave butter for 20 seconds in a large bowl.  When melted add minimarshmallows and stir to coat.  Microwave mixture for 45 seconds and stir until smooth.  If not smooth microwave longer.  Mix in rice krispies and  3/4 cup chopped butterfingers. Drop by large sppon fulls over the brownies and spread out evenly. (Put your hands into plasticbags and spread butter on them then firmly press the top layer down.  Melt chocolate chips and shortening in microwave for 45 seconds.  Stir and continue heating at 15 second intervals until smooth.  Drizzle or spread over the rice krispie layer.  Sprinkle the remaining chopped butterfingers over the top.  Do not cut until ready to serve.
